Rhubarb/strawberry Jam recipe please? - rhubarb jam

I just to the north and bought some .. fresh rhubarb like to know how to use rhubarb and strawberry jam. No, thank you want to use gelatin. Moreover, no idea how to cook the rhubarb, because I do not know rhubarb. Thank you in advance.

Also - the rhubarb leaves are poisonous - just use the stems.

Ingredients:
1 1 / 2 cups mashed strawberries
1 cup rhubarb, chopped
1 teaspoon of soup. Lemon juice
1 teaspoon of tea. grated lemon peel
4 cups sugar
1 pkg. Pectin powder
3 / 4 cup water

Instructions:
Prepare freezer jars and lids according to manufacturer's instructions.

Combine strawberries, rhubarb, lemon juice and lemon zest in a large bowl. Stir in sugar, let stand for 10 minutes. Combine pectin and boil hard water in a small saucepan for 1 minute while stirring the mixture constantly.Add fruit pectin, stirring constantly for 3 minutes. Add 2-3 drops of red food coloring, if desired. Carefully spoon jam into jars for jam, so that a 1/2-inch space. Adjust lids.

Let stand at room temperature until you're finished, no more than 24 hours. Label. In the freezer.
